Angela Johnston is a young textile designer with a difference. Since graduating from UCA Farnham with a degree in Textiles for Fashion and Interiors, she has explored the world and discovered inspiration in the variety of natural environments she has encountered, from the Australian Outback to the Scottish Highlands.
Her eye for colour and bold geometric prints has allowed her to create modern, fresh impressions of the flora and fauna found on her travels. This unique ability to combine organic patterns with sharp, vivid imagery produces designs ideal for anything from interior architecture to accessories and art prints.
Her talent has been recognised and featured in Vogue, GQ and Elle Decoration, her fabrics are sold in prestigious stores in London, Paris and New York, and she is also a designer for Studio Flock.
Having recently relocated to Edinburgh, Angela has been working on several exciting freelance projects as well as developing her own signature range. She is a keen photographer, bargain-hunter and tea drinker, with a zest for life which translates into her designs, making them unmistakable.
